Krista Napier
As a Senior Analyst, Krista tracks emerging Canadian headquartered ICT companies, from pre-revenue up to $20 million, and closely follows their growth. In IDC's report series, Canadian Technology Innovation Watch, Krista provides insight into the most promising Canadian companies across a selection of ICT sub-markets, and delivers guidance on what makes these companies successful, and how others can emulate that success. This research is sought-after by investors, large and small ICT companies and government organizations. Krista also manages IDC Canada's Market Acceleration Program (MAP), an initiative designed to help emerging Canadian IT companies succeed in bringing their products and services to market. In this role, she provides clients with custom documents and answers to in-depth questions on technology commercialization. As the lead analyst for IDC's Digital Media practice, Krista is developing research and insight around media tablets and eReaders, as well as other connected media devices. In this role Krista is forecasting the size of the market in Canada, following trends, new products, and vendor strategies. Krista is a source of commentary on Canadian tech news and trends to the mass media, and a frequent speaker at events across the Country. Krista holds an MBA from the Schulich School of Business at York University, and an Honors Bachelor of Business Administration from Wilfred Laurier University.
